THE SALT MILL

Everyone knows that greediness can be a very bad habit. Greedy people always suffer a bad day. Let us read a folk tale which tells us about a greedy man, and an idea of why the sea is salty.

Long ago, in a country far far away, there lived a greedy man called Grubblin. He used to selfishly take everything from the poor for himself. He thought that if he was greedy, he would be very rich.
One day, a rumor spread that the old magician, who lived in the house on the seaside, had a magical salt mill which could grant any one's wish. The magician was very kind and only used his magic to help and feed the poor. When Grubblin heard about the salt mill, he rushed towards the magician's house and asked for the mill. The magician showed it to him. Grubblin asked, " Can this mill make gold or silver?" The magician answered, " Yes, it can make anything!" Upon hearing this, Grubblin demanded the mill. The magician refused. Grubblin then took out his pocket knife and put it on the magician's neck. The magician finally gave in, and gave Grubblin the mill. Before handing it to him, he advised," Before telling the mill to grant your wish, say ' Albagay, albagoo, oh salt mill, I summon you!'. When you want to stop the mill, say ' Albagay, albagoo, please stop, I command you!'"  Grubblin agreed, and went away, saying to himself, " I will make a fortune with this mill. First I will wish for gold, and then with the gold I will buy ships, and then with the ships I will trade gold with countries all over the world!"
